Pet of the Week: Meet Zeus!
Meet Zeus!
Like his buddy, Flor, who was featured two weeks ago on Pet of the Week, Zeus was found by himself in a mobile home community in Soledad and quickly rescued thanks to Our Neighborhood Pet Project volunteers. He has been in foster care with Flor since he was eight weeks old.
Zeus about 16 weeks old now and making great progress with becoming more comfortable with his
human caretakers. This orange tabby boy lives with several other foster kittens and everyone gets along so well that they prefer to nap with each other whenever possible. Zeus has gradually become more active and he and Flor love chasing after the wand toy together
Zeus is developing into a medium energy kitten who prefers to be with other kittens. While his foster family continues to socialize him, he would thrive in an active home with humans who are comfortable working to build his confidence. He will most likely be happiest in a home with multiple four-legged companions so please consider adopting a pair if you’re interested in Zeus!
Our Neighborhood Pet Project’s mission is to reduce the number of unwanted litters in South Monterey County by providing access to free or low-cost spay/neuter services for dogs and domestic and feral cats, as well as care for and find loving homes for rescue cats, dogs, kittens, and puppies.
Their next adoption event is Saturday, June 15th, at Brad’s Barkery in Carmel-by-the-Sea, from 11:30 am until 2:30 pm. There will be multiple animal rescue groups participating and we will have both cats and dogs at this event!
