WATCH: Meet KION’s Pet of the Week for May 8, 2025, Azalea!

Our Neighborhood Pet Project introduces us to a Rottweiler mix by the name of Azalea this week.

Azalea is a gentle pup who weighs around 50 pounds.

She likes people, other dogs and is house-trained and sleeps through the night.

Azalea is obsessed with squeaky and chew toys in the house and relishes her time outside where she patrols for squirrels during the day.

Azalea is a medium energy gal who would thrive in an active home with lots of outdoor activities and toys.

You can meet Azalea and other potential pets on May 9 at the inaugural Night Market event in Soledad a the Grocery Outlet parking lot from 5 to 8 p.m.

You may also be able to meet her on Saturday the 17th at the PetSmart in Salinas from 10 to 2 p.m.
