Gonzales announces closure of all play structures

GONZALES, Calif. (KION) The City of Gonzales announced Friday that it will be closing all of its play structures.

Officials said this is due to an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases.

Play structures at Meyer Park and Central Park had reopened just a month ago on Nov. 4

Outdoor playgrounds are allowed to be open in all tiers of the state's Blueprint for a Safer economy, but the final decision about whether to open them is left to local officials.
