Gov. Gavin Newsom to issue guidelines for religious gatherings

(KION) Gov. Gavin Newsom announced Friday that the state will issue updated guidelines for religious gatherings by Monday.

Earlier in the day, President Donald Trump called for governors around the country to open places of worship this weekend. He said that if governors do not allow them to open, he would override them.

Newsom said he and his staff are working with faith leaders to put together safety procedures.
