San Benito County offers guidance for drive-in events at faith-based organizations

SAN BENITO COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The San Benito County Interim Public Health Officer, Dr. David Ghilarducci, has issued guidance for faith-based organizations offering drive-in events.

Ghilarducci said everyone should follow social distancing protocols, but also:

  • Only allow members of the same household to be in a vehicle together
  • Park vehicles at least 6 feet apart
  • Keep windows completely closed if possible, but open a quarter of the way if necessary
  • Hold multiple services to avoid vehicle congestion
  • Keep everyone in their vehicles
  • Limit staff conducting the service to under 10 people
  • Make sure staff follows the face covering order when possible
  • Follow proper hygiene
  • Not hand items to people in vehicles
  • Place any items in the vehicle's trunk
