Free pop-up COVID-19 testing site opens in Marina

MARINA, Calif. (KION) A pop-up COVID-19 testing site is opening in Marina Wednesday.

Testing will be done at the Monterey County Free Library on Seaside Circle in Marina and will be open at these times:

  • Aug. 5 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Aug. 6 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Aug. 12 from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  • Aug. 13 from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.

The site is first come, first served, and the health department is encouraging anyone with symptoms, anyone who has come in contact with someone who tested positive, health care workers, first responders and the caretakers of those at high-risk to get tested.

There is onsite registration, and the health department said getting tested does not affect immigration status.
