SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The Santa Cruz County Board of Supervisors is set to hold a special meeting to review and consider an application to move into the expanded Stage 2 of reopening.

If the application is approved by the Board of Supervisors, the state may take up to a week to review it.

If the state approves the application, Santa Cruz County would be allowed to open dine-in restaurants, barbershops and hair salons with modifications. Guidance for those businesses can be found here.

Nail salons, tattoo parlors and other personal services considered high-risk will still not be allowed to open.

The meeting will happen Friday at 9 a.m. Because of social distancing protocols, participants are encouraged to watch and submit comments here.
