WATCH: California National Guard delivers coronavirus test kits

California National Guard

(KION) New video from the California National Guard shows Airmen from the Moffett Federal Airfield delivering coronavirus test kits to the Grand Princess cruise ship off the coast of California.

The cruise ship previously carried a man who became the first person to die from coronavirus in California, and there are dozens of people still on board who were on the trip with the man who died.

The ship was on a 15-day trip and was scheduled to come back Saturday, but came back when the man died. It is currently near San Francisco.

The test kits were delivered Thursday, and results are expected Friday, according to the executive director of the San Francisco Department of Emergency Management.

About 35 people started showing flu-like symptoms during the cruise, but many have recovered and are no longer showing symptoms.
