San Benito County sees 30% increase in flu cases in December

SAN BENITO COUNTY, Calif. (KION) San Benito County has seen a 30% increase in flu cases in December, according to Samela Perez with the San Benito County Health and Human Services Agency.

Based on what Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital's lab and emergency department report and on Tamiflu prescriptions at pharmacies, Perez said there were 30% more reported cases in December compared to November.

So far, there have been no reports of flu deaths in the county.
