Watsonville Community Hospital sale completed

The sale of Watsonville Community Hospital to Halsen Healthcare has been completed.

The company made the announcement Tuesday, it purchased the company from Tennessee based, Quorum Health. KION first brought you the story of the sale in July 2019.

A statment released by Halsen Healthcare Chairman and CEO Dan Brothman says in part:

“Halsen Healthcare’s mission is to help hospitals such as Watsonville
navigate the healthcare industry’s turbulent waters by providing thoughtful
leadership and financial support to enable them to become innovative leaders
in quality of care, patient satisfaction, and community contribution,” added
Brothman. “With its talented team of experienced physicians and nurses,
committed staff, and scenic location, Watsonville Community Hospital has the
potential to thrive financially, continuing its tradition as Watsonville’s
trusted healthcare provider,” added Brothman.
