Monterey County Fair and Events Center to host drive-in movie nights
MONTEREY, Calif. (KION) The Monterey County Fair and Events Center said it will be hosting pop-up drive-in movies this summer starting this coming weekend.
The lineup for the weekend is as follows:
- Friday- "Monterey Pop" at 7:30 p.m.
- Saturday- "Sonic the Hedgehog" at 3 p.m.
- Saturday- "Mamma Mia!" at 7:30 p.m.
Ticket sales start Tuesday, but the venue recommends ordering online early because they are expected to sell out. Only 75 cars are allowed at each showing. The tickets are only available online for pre-sale.
Those who go can get drive-thru fair food between 5 and 9 p.m., but they can also pre-order a movie snack pack or wine package. Pre-ordered concessions will be ready when drivers check in.
Customers with trucks can sit in their truck beds, but they must stay in their own and wear a mask. Those sitting inside a vehicle with the windows rolled up do not need to wear a mask.
