Weather Story:
Wet weather is expected to continue through the weekend. The first arrived late Friday into Saturday with increased clouds and rain chances. The second will come in the form of a cold front early Sunday. This one is likely to bring light to moderate rain to the region. Another system will follow mid-week. All the while, high temperatures will remain seasonable to slightly cool with seasonably mild lows.


Sunday: Mostly cloudy with periods of rain. Cool, with highs in the 50s.

-The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for December 18th – 24th calls for the likelihood of ABOVE normal temperatures and BELOW normal precipitation. 
-El Niño/La Niña STATUS: Weak La Niña
-Forecast into Winter: La Niña Advisory

-Area drought status: 
Moderate drought for much of Santa Cruz & Santa Clara Counties and the far eastern side of San Benito County, Abnormally dry for all other areas.
