Jack Frost Nipping at Your Nose?

Air Quality Report (As of 7:00AM)
All reporting stations are good.

We probably won’t see much of a temperature recovery through mid-week as northwest flow continues to push cool air into the region. Nights will be cold and days cool, with a slow warming trend by the end of the week. A weak weather system will pass by mid-week and could bring a few sprinkles, but otherwise expect mostly clear skies into the weekend.

Monday: Mostly sunny with a few high clouds passing through. Cool, with highs in the 50s to low 60s. Breezy for inland valleys in the afternoon.

**FREEZE WARNING**

IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 AM PST TUESDAY...

-Sub-freezing temperatures in the mid 20s to around 30 degrees.

-North Bay Interior Valleys and Southern Salinas Valley/Arroyo Seco and Lake San Antonio. From 3 AM to 9 AM PST Tuesday.

-Frost and freeze conditions will kill crops, other sensitive vegetation and possibly damage unprotected outdoor plumbing.

-Take steps now to protect tender plants from the cold. To prevent
freezing and possible bursting of outdoor water pipes they should
be wrapped, drained, or allowed to drip slowly. Those that have
in-ground sprinkler systems should drain them and cover above-
ground pipes to protect them from freezing. Ensure all animals
have a warm and dry shelter.

**FROST ADVISORY**

IN EFFECT FROM 3 AM TO 9 AM PST TUESDAY...

-This in effect for the Carmel Valley, Northern Salinas Valley, and into Gilroy and Hollister

Overnight: Another clear and cold night with lows in the 20s inland where frost is once again LIKELY. Coastal spots will be in the 30s-40s on the coast where frost may be possible in low, sheltered areas.

Tuesday: Cold and frosty in the morning, especially for inland valleys. Then becoming mostly sunny and slightly warmer in the afternoon with highs in the mid-50s to mid-60s. Low clouds return to the coast late.

Extended: A weak system moves past late Tuesday into Wednesday and may produce a few sprinkles near the coast. High temperatures remain cool for this time of year throughout the week. Lows will slowly warm up with increased clouds Wednesday/Thursday mornings. Another weak system will be here late Friday into Saturday which could bring some light rain to the region.
