Cooler Weather and Fire Danger to Come

Temperatures will be warm for your Monday, before much cooler weather for the workweek. The next weather system will drop temperatures in the 60s for most Central Coast locations by Tuesday. Gusty winds will be present Tuesday night into Thursday.  

Monday: Mostly sunny, with clouds returning after dark. Temperatures remain warm, with highs in the 60s-70s on the coast with 70s-80s inland.

Overnight: Coastal clouds will be on the increase overnight with patchy fog and drizzle possible. Expect lows in the 40s-50s on the coast and 30s-40s inland.

Tuesday: Partly to mostly cloudy conditions with much cooler conditions. Highs will be in the 50s-60s on the caost with most in the 60s-70s on the coast with 70s-80s inland.

**FIRE WEATHER WATCH**

The National Weather Service has issued a Fire Weather Watch, which is in effect from late Tuesday night through Thursday morning.

-North Bay Mountains above 1000 feet, East Bay Hills above 1000 ft, and the Diablo Range. 

-North to northeast winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts 35 to 45mph. Local gusts at isolated peaks and ridgetops may approach and possibly exceed 60 mph.

-Wednesday afternoon relative humidity values dropping to 10 to 20 percent with localized single digits. Poor recoveries are forecast on Wednesday night with relative humidity values in the 30 to 45 percent range with localized values below 25 percent.


Extended: There is a very slight for sprinkles on Wednesday, but most spots will just stay on the cloudy side. Temperatures will stay cool through the workweek, with a slight warm-up by next weekend. 

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for November 21st - 29th calls for the likelihood of ABOVE normal temperatures and BELOW normal precipitation.
