Carmel restaurant up for three James Beard awards

The James Beard Awards are like the Academy Awards of the restaurant industry. One local restaurant in Carmel has three nominations.

Aubergine at L’Auberge is up for best service.

Chef Justin Cogley has been nominated for “Best Chef of the West.”

Chef Ron Mendoza is up for “Outstanding Pastry Chef.”

The winners will be announced next Tuesday.
