Clearin’ Out Until The Weekend
High pressure will nudge in from the
south through Friday. The next storm system will approach on Saturday, then
slow down a bit. Rain will be possible late Saturday, but will likely hold out
until Sunday morning. A secondary system follows on Monday with additional
systems approaching Wednesday and then later in the week.
Overnight: Mostly clear skies, with some
patchy fog possible in low areas. Expect coastal lows in the 40s with low 30s
to low 40s inland.
Friday: Patchy morning fog, then sunny. Highs in the upper 50s to
mid 60s.
Saturday: Increasing clouds and
increasing southerly winds. A touch cooler with highs in the upper 50s to mid
60s.
Extended: Rain is likely to arrive on Sunday accompanied by gusty
southerly winds. Temperatures will remain mild early, then slowly cool later in
the day. Even cooler temperatures can be expected on Monday as a secondary
system rolls in with more rain. We’ll get a break on Tuesday, though it will be
chilly. Another system will approach on Wednesday, but looks light at this point.
Additional system(s) possible later on in the week and into the weekend.
The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for December 27th – January
2nd calls for the likelihood of BELOW normal temperatures and near
normal precipitation.
