Chilly start to Monday’s short dry spell


Dryer weather will usher in the work week on the Central Coast. Overnght lows Sunday night will be chilly, dropping into the mid-and-upper 30s and 40s. Monday will be mostly sunny with highs in the mid-and-upper 50s. Wet weather is expected to return Tuesday afternoon or evening.

Overnight: Clear and cold. Mid-and-upper 30s in the valleys and coastal mountains. Coastal lows will be in the low 40s.l

Monday: Mostly sunny. Highs in the mid-and-upper 50s.
 
Extended: Another weather system should bring widespread rain on Tuesday, with unsettled weather continuing through mid-week.

The outlook from the Climate Prediction Center for December 21st – 27th calls for the likelihood of ABOVE normal temperatures and ABOVE normal precipitation.
