Abandoned barracks catch fire in Fort Ord

MONTEREY COUNTY, Calif. (KION) The North County Fire Protection District said it provided help with a fire Thursday.

The agency said two abandoned barracks at Fort Ord caught fire early in the morning.

According to Marina City Councilmember Cristina Medina Dirksen, the fire was south of the Veterans clinic and north of the Monterey County Coastal Offices. She said no injuries were reported.
